Ironhawk's Review

Graphics: 8        Not too shabby for the Nintendo.  Simple line drawings that actually look good.

Sound: 5            Too bad you don't get the original globetrotters jingle.  Instead the game has one music track that sort of sounds like an unlicensed knockoff.

Playability: 3       The control in this game sucks, starting with the title screen.  A, B, the D-pad and *Start* all flip through the options where select actually confirms your choice.  When you finally start the game, you can pass and shoot when on offense.  And while on defense, you can steal.  Nope, no jumping for rebounds or anything fancy like that.

Concept: 1          It's a standard basketball game with the Harlem Globetrotters in it.  That's it.  You don't even get to do trick shots or tie elastic to the ball.

Retro Value: 1    As far as I know, it's the only basketball game explicitly based on the 'Trotters.  That should mean something but it doesn't, because the game is so generic.

Overall: 4           The developer should have put some more thought into this game instead of just using it as a source of quick cash.

Nightowl's Review

Graphics: 2    You only get left and right running animations... and a coup of dunk poses... and that's about it.

Sound: 0    You can only hear that "Charge!" jingle so many times before it becomes annoying. Also, The dribbling sound effects are about a second off.

Playability: 1    It's so hard to see of you made a basket. The ball falls off the rim the same way even if you make the shot. And the sound effects are so obnoxious, you can't hear the swish of the net sometimes. And what's this... there are RULES in a Globetrotters game?

Concept: 9    Affirmative Action in the video game world! YEEEEE HA!

Retro Value: 1    ...Too bad it's such a horrible product

Overall: 1    Basketball has seen better days. Stay strong Globetrotters. And stay undefeated. Whoops, they lost here. Never mind.
