Smartball

If you replace the "SM" with a "F" you got the idea... the game stinks. Play as Jerry the blob and save the day! From what? I don't know and don't give a doodle.

Sony should have been smart and trashed        Now I see why Moms are freaked out                             "Lava"

this game before it got into the fresh air.            by mice...

Examine this picture class...               This is how NOT to make extra sprites.

Ironhawk's Review

Graphics: 7      Yeah, it looks like an Nes game, but this was 1991.

Sound: 4          You can do better than that, Sony Music Entertainment Japan.

Playability: 5    Controlling this, this... fluid sack, is intuitive enough, it's just not very fun.  You kill enemies by pushing up or down on the control pad so a fake pseudopod thing touches it.

Concept: 8       Pretty good idea on paper, just not on screen.

Retro Value: 5  The concept's original enough to stay in your library if you have it.  Just don't pay for it.

Overall: 5         I won't rate this game so hard because it's a first generation Snes title.  But it's still just another platformer.

Nightowl's Review

Graphics: 6    They were looking great... until I saw the giant bird with the lame right and left sprites... they just mirrored it! And they tried to make it so we didn't notice it.

Sound: 0    No comment... I wanna die.

Playability: 5    The ability to climb walls is cool. But it frequently malfunctions... causing instant death. And enemies will sit on top of you even after you're hit. Causing death once again.

Concept: 0    It's a blob that's not a ball.

Retro Value: 9    When I want a really good laugh, I pop this game in.

Overall: 0    Uh... nothing much to say. I think I really summed the thing up already. So now... I think I should go make some wood-davers. Or something that doesn't require me to touch the SNES while the bad gaming spirits go away.
