Bubsy: Claws encounters of the furred kind

What could possibly go wrong? Busby is the story of a Bobcat (Bubsy) who... UH.... hmm... I don't know the storyline for this game...

Right outa' Looney Tunes                                I always knew cheese wheels were not to be trusted...

                                                                                  DARN CHEESE WHEELS!

Ironhawk's Review

Graphics: 8        Colorful graphics with multiple parallaxes.

Sound: 4            Annoying, repetitive music, but okay sound effects.

Playability: 9      Quick, intuitive, simplistic control.  There are two jump buttons, but it makes sense.

Concept: 1        It's a platform game.  It gets one point for the cartoony death scenes and voice clips.

Retro Value: 8   Good representative of what a platformer is.

Overall: 8          A platformer of this caliber is a rare thing in the SNES's library, even though there are about 1300 of them.

Nightowl's Review

Graphics: 9     Colorful vibrant worlds, no slowdown, and dozens of character animations. Clearly some of the best graphics of the SNES.

Sound: 8    These tunes will be stuck in your head for days. They always match the situation. And the sound effects from Bubsy an another enemies aren't too annoying either.

Playability: 10    Lighting fast control and good physics glorious.

Concept: 2    Trying to mix Sonic's speed with Mario's quirkiness and platform jumping... what many developers had tried beforehand.

Retro Value: 9    What are you doing sitting here?! Go to Gamestop.com and find a copy NOW!

Overall: 9    Ranks as one of the console's best platformers in my opinion. I demand to see a GBA/Zodiac port for the new generation of gamers.
