Swat kats

Play as the two butt-kicking Kats from the 90's Cartoon Network TV show.

T-Bone is ready for action                        Taking the Turbokat out for a spin...

Ironhawk's Review

Graphics: 7        Nothing special here.

Sound: 7            Adequate.  The Swat Kats theme song in the game sounds like the one from the show.

Playability: 5      Standard platform game fare where they throw enemies at you in repetitive but difficult patterns.  The Turbokat® missions are no different.

Concept: 4         Licensed hash.  The air missions are a nice touch, though.  It also has a Castlevania-style leveling system.

Retro Value: 2    If you want to remember what a 90's cartoon tie-in game looks like then keep this game.

Overall: 4           I've never been a fan of the show, and even I can say that this game does not do it justice.

Nightowl's Review

Graphics: 10    Awesome looking flight sequences, and character models that do that show proud.

Sound: 7    Good mixes of tunes from the show. And no annoying voiceovers (Besides "Bingo!")

Playability: 6    The flight controls are extremely awkward. The platform jumping is difficult to do sometimes... and the shooting is extremely clunky.

Concept: 8    I've been a fan of Swat Kats since day one... and a game of my favorite show of all time is a like a dream for me...

Retro Value: 5    The game is very short and kinda frustrating at times. So you won't come back for it often.

Overall: 8    Now... if only they could make a game off of "Redwall."....
